There's only ever been one tie for a world title in the boys - in 1999, David Bellwood (Maguire-O'Shea) and Michael Belvitch (Tim O'Hare) tied for u17.
There have been three ties in the girls though - in 1971 Catherine Cronin (Uí Nualláin) and Imelda Florence (Walsh, Dublin) tied for U17.
In 1980 Fiona Gaye Snowden (Ransley, Australia) and Mairead Gray (Inis Ealga, Dublin) tied for u17 too.
And most recently in 1991 there was a tie for girls u11 between Louise Connolly (Oirialla) and Deborah O'Keefe (Cowhie-Ryan, Cork).
there was another tie yesterday between Melanie Valdes and Cyra Taylor for girls U14!
